Excellent points in this thread. I hope they will be helpful to you. Excellent stuff.

While SAMe doesn't work for everyone, just like anything else, it does seem to have an unusually high responder rate in terms of mood and pain with a rapid onset. It is a good supplement with Fibromyalgia patients, allowing many of them to decrease or eliminate their pain meds.

You would have to do some google searches/studies on it to learn all it does. Very beneficial in a lot of things and ways. The only drawback is it is not cheap. About $1 a day at the lowest dose, about $4 a day at the low end of the clinical trial doses. Get enteric coated tablets in blister packs, not capsules or anything else in bottles. You'll probably feel pain relief better than OTC stuff and mood improvement within 2 to 3 days.

I agree with the other post also saying to do things in small steps. For example with me, instead of looking at the day of ahead of me where I have to bring in a bunch of firewood, light a fire, cook, dishwasher, a load of clothes and hang them up, go to work for 8 hours and everything that involves, the driving, going over mail and bills when I get home, cooking, geez...you know, you get the picture. Well, all I look at is the "get firewood" thing. Once that is done, I sit for a minute and then say, ok, next.

For your business, think of ideas to improve things. Pick the easiest of those ideas. Just start on that idea. Don't tackle the whole thing all at once. Break it down into steps and make it a goal to do one of those steps. The next day, another step. And so on.

With me for example, it is hard to keep up with stuff. I need to pay bills but my mail has just piled up for three days and it is a mess of papers, bills, junk, etc. Instead making a project to sort it all out and pay the bills, for that evening my only task is to sort out junk mail, throw away all junk, and put the bills in a pile. I will sit down to pay those bills tomorrow. One step at a time.

Longer term...kind of difficult without money or a doctor...but I think you need to get tested for Lyme, and regardless of the test (they are terribly inaccurate), talk your doctor into a trial of antibiotics. All that pain is coming from something, and hidden mysterious pathogens is a very likely but often overlooked cause. Doxycycline is a good antibiotic because it covers a wide range of possibilities and is also a very good anti-inflammatory outside its antibiotic properties.

Pain usually comes from inflammation. Inflammation usually comes from an infection. Most of the possible infections are not diagnosable. Treatment has to be blind, based on history, symptoms, and quite honestly, just a test to see what happens and either rule it in or out.
