Thats why people with extreme allergies or asthma can't tolerate it here. I've seen people move down here from the north and can't tolerate the summers here. Those of us who are born here are more conditioned to it. My hubby loves it here in the summers. The hotter the better he says.

At least I feel better about what I am getting into. I have been on and off so many ssri's with there side-effects and withdrawals, that I'm prepared to face them again, going on the parnate (Am hoping I am one of the ones who responds well and quickly).

Hi !
Hummm gastric by-pass...you mean the one who work by restriction , I mean he will not be able to eat a lot after...? The one I had is rare...they don't do this surgery in a lot of hospital...In the States, they tend to do more "real" by-pass which implies restriction on food absorbation after, the one I had work with "malabsorbtion", mean that I can eat what I want, in normal quantity, but I absorb maybe 25% to 40% of the calories from the food, the fat absorbtion is near the 5% maximum level...

All this process implies that they cut the intestine in the part where the fat is absorb...and to my displeasure, it's the place where all the drugs are digest and absorb...so now, drugs don't work well on me... Mean that all the LA or SR or XR formulations don't work, I absorb probably only 25% of the drug in my blood...The older drugs with regular mechanism of absorbation are absorbed at 75% maybe...so since I had this surgery, I have a big difficulty to fiond the good drug to help me...No Doctors can't answer to me about how many drugs I absorb in my system now...even the "Surgeon" who pratice the surgery on me...

I assume I donÉ'T absorb a lot of drugs, since I have to take very high amount of fat soluble vitamins (A- 30000 units day, D-50000 units day, K, Iron 900mg day + 1 I.V. treatment by month because of severe anemia, calcium 1500 mg day, potassium, magnesium and 3 complete multi-vitamins...)... And my blood test are so so , even with high doses of vitamins like this...SO I guess the drugs don't get absorb very well...

That's another mystery of life...We always have to pay the price of what we choose to do in the life and the actions and decisions we take...

Anyway...good luck ok and take care of you! ;-)

Bye!

Vincen ;-)
