I agree with what a couple of the other posters here, a monoamine oxidase inhibitor may be worth trying - what about Parnate? However, Parnate may bring on a manic phase, so would Nardil be more suitable?

On the TCA front, Imipramine or Amitriptyline are supposed to be the gold standard. Saying that I'm currently taking Amitriptyline and I have to say that I haven't found it that great (although my diagnosis is severe anxiety rather than deep depression). Still supposed to be good for depression though.
