Drinking while on Nardil...

I am meeting an old friend this week and will probably be drinking a few bottles of beer. However I have just started Nardil (60mg a day)5-6 days ago. I understand that I need to be cautious drinking too much because of the Tyramine content (will be drinking from bottles not Tap) But I am concerned that this may affect my progress with the Nardil kicking in. I have heard that drinking Alcohol while on SSRI's stops them working, but is this the same for MAOI's like Nardil? Will having a few bottles of beer stop the Nardil from working properly? (Bearing in mind also that this is only one occasion)
