In reply to Vyvanse is making me wierd, posted by Sky Brite Line on July 10, 2008, at 23:09:32

i'm very suspicious that the idea that it's really a molecularly based sustained release mechanism is a gross mischaracterization. the duration of effect may be *slightly* longer, but it's genuine function is just DELAY response so it does not give the immediate effect psychostimulant abusers usually want (even tho it has same gradual "likability"), and make doctors feel more secure. this is a benefit, if this is the only real upside of the drug, they should be honest about it.

the result i think is a drug that is i would imagine is shorter duration and peakier (and valley-er) than the original spansules, which probably puts more stress on people. it may also push off-patent amphetamines off the market this way (or even facilitate them becoming illegal), replacing them with a money making brand name.
