Your post just enlightened me to the existence of Symbyax. For the life of me I can't figure out why someone would want to take a med that combines two different drugs into one pill, since it would take away all ability to individually adjust dosages. It would also be difficult to impossible to tell what side effects might be due to which drug. Seems to me like an attempt to put a "new" drug on the market for more profits.

As I understand it, Symbyax came about because the Zyprexa/Prozac combo has been the most studied. Maybe because they are both old timers in their classes. I'm not sure there are a lot of studies using other combos though.
