Why does dopamine help in mood?

Posted by rjlockhart on July 5, 2007, at 20:44:51

Im on Prozac 30mg. Which is an SSRI, but it works better than wellbutrin which is a dopamine reptake inhibitor.

Dopamine always seems to increase my mood. I dont take any psychostimulant, but i did in the past and thats what im thinking im lacking in my brain. Dopamine tranmitters.

When you get "excited" about something i noticed that your body releases some adrenalaine and endorphins through that period of time, like when your going somewhere really intresting or an event thats coming up.

Do you ever notice that?

I wish there was something that could boost your mood with out being abusable like narcotics.

I guess you have to just talk to your doctor until you notice your on the right med.

Im sorry im jambling, i took prozac earlier and it just makes me i dont know....... clutter thinking.

anyways thanks.
