Honore I wish it hadn't been off hand but since that bite I've been getting more tired each day and told my husband I know my body and something is wrong. I've been forcing myself around. Well one after thyroid testing in a GPs office the Endo who absolutely knows nothing said now I'm hypothroid again. Was told by both the endos nurses that the way the endo told me to take the synthroid was totally wrong as he said to take it with the valium around 5 am when I wake up for the bathroom and come to find out both the nurse and the pharmacist at the ER were right valium interfers with synthroid. I said look now they the endo wants me to combine cytomel with synthroid one says take together the other apart and that they can cause anxiety and then called pharmacist ours too who confirmed it and then goodgled it and they're right. I've gained 20lbs in two months on hardly any food at all. So the therapist at the hospital checked with the pharmacist there too and he said that after years of luvox weight gain can happen. I begged the ER doc to admit me for one night and I'd pay for a consult with one of their endos and get this stomach looked at as I can't eat either. Seriously I'm terrified really terrified as with my history of lymes and no OB-GYN and the indigestion, dirrhea , exteme fatique I know something is wrong and all she says is I can only make sure you're not dying now. Find a new pdoc, therapist, endocrinologist, and internist. I googled the synthroid and it does interfere ofr vis versa with the valium now why wouldn't an endo know this? And with past history of thyroid sky rocketing in a matter of 24 hours to unbearable anxiety. I've been my own advocate and there is no place to turn I have no idea what to do. Take the endos cytomel and synthroid and the nurses one hour before food and separately as the endo said or together as his nurse said or do nothing for now? My head is spinning I will definitely be crazy. And of course the assessment proved I'm not crazy. Just panic and if I'm tolerant as everyone hear says what do I do? Love Phillipa
