I could not cry on citalopram. It was a double effect. It affected my desire to cry, and even when I wanted to I physically could not cry!, just like it physically blunted orgasm, it physically stopped me from crying.

They are sometimes used in pathological crying (due to brain injury where the patient crys even when not sad)
