I was recently put on Ativan/Lorazepam (1 mg) for insomnia. It works beautifully.
I am just concerned about tolerance developing at this dose. My doctor and I are having me take Ambien every 3 days to try and prevent this from happening (as there is no cross tolerance between Ambien and benzodiazepines, I don't think).
How long has Ativan or other benzos worked at a fixed dose for you for sleep? What negative effects have you noticed from taking a benzo every day, if any?
