In light of the fact that in some people benzo use can cause or exacerbate depression, could this give credability to an Endorphin Deficiency Syndrome being a possible cause of depression/anxiety disorders?

At least some of the benzos influence endorphin and enkephalin levels in the blood and CFS. There seems to be a difference between the acute effects and chronic effects. I have seen no evidence that endorphin levels are associated with mood or anxiety disorders. At least, that I recall.
