First of all, have you tried Klonopin? It has the strength of Xanax, but a longer half life so you don't need to take it as often.
Also, if you're anxiety is that severe, maybe benzos aren't strong enough and you need something else with them. I know you're probably going to hate hearing this, but someone I know went on an atypical antipsychotic for anxiety and said it worked well.
