Hi Kellie,
That doesn't sound like a tyramine reaction. It might be an allergic reaction to something in the soup or maybe to Nardil. Also, I've eaten tons of stuff with yeast extract in it. It's in a lot of processed food, so it's difficult to avoid. I find that if it's lower on the ingredient list, it's usually in small enough amounts that it has not effect on me. Foods where it's very high on the list of ingredients have relatively more yeast extract. So I stay away from Marmite and Vegemite type foods (not just because of the yeast extract, though). :)

Good luck with Nardil. And call your doc if the hives persist or if you start having trouble breathing.
