Saturn that's where I ran into the problem see for l0 years all my docs Gp's too said I could take it with food but I eat yougurt with my cereal which has calcium and the synthroid binds with calcium hence less throid is absorbed. So he said when I wake-up in the middle of the night to take it then when my stomach is empty. Doesn't help when my throid is jumping around from normal to hyper to now high normal. I really think you're right about the time as Sunday I couldn't remember if I took it or not and slept better have this feeling I didn't so took a half a tab and then ate. I hate to set an alarm for taking a med. Love Phillipa
