try therapy

Before you do ECT (harsh, potentially damaging), I think you should give talk therapy a go. I know, it sounds less effective than meds but...even in schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, talk therapy can be incredibly helpful. I think some sort of long-term psychotherapy could be useful, as would other non-drug interventions like group therapy, vocational rehab, writing/art, that kind of thing. Plus, non-drug therapies can be a lot more fun than drugs or ECT.
