Seroquel is a drug with a wide range of dosing, and its generally discovered that a number of people can take it all at night. I know someone who takes about 400mg for psychotic depression, so its really about finding the right dose, the minimum effective dose so side effects are minimized as well. There's no need to go higher if all it does is give side effects and sedation but not particularly more relief. On the other hand, there are people who take more than 800, and I have at one point done so (not for psychosis.) though I don't now.
