I tried Carbamazepine 600mg a couple of years ago. It did seem to help with the anxiety issue, but it made me so lethargic I couldn't get off the couch. It might have been a case of the anesthetic or anti-depressant issue (just too numbed to know your'e depressed). BTW, just started Nardil about a month ago, so I'm hoping it will work for me. Seems I'm allergic to MAO inhibitors, but if I can keep the rash that makes be look like I've been thrown into a tank of Portugese man-of-wars with antihistamines I might be ok. Depakote seems to work for me for the anxiety part, but doesn't help too much for the depression.
