I tried the switch when the extended release Xanax first hit the market. I did not find the same level of anxiety symptom relief and went back to K. I was monotherapy on a benzo at the time and found use of an AD with K took care of any depressive symptoms. Actually, the AD took care of the anxiety problem too and I rarely use Klonopin at this time.
I'm not much help but that's my trying the switch experience.
