Any way to counteract sedation of Lexapro?

Posted by Butternut on June 4, 2006, at 18:03:37

I saw my pdoc on Wed because my depression had returned after stopping zoloft. For various reasons, I thought I was probably bipolar, even though I have never had a typical high. The doctor said he just doesn't see any signs of bipolar, so he didn't want to put me on Lamictal as I suggested. Instead, I am trying 5mg of Lexapro. I feel better already--less brooding, more able to pay attention to the world around me. However, I am TIRED, even though I sometimes feel restless/wired at the same time I'm tired. Zoloft always made me want to sleep a lot to. Anyone know how to counteract the sedation of Lexapro?
Thanks!
