I jumped in to the middle of an ongoing crises that I was not aware of. When I saw a post including suicidal thoughts I applied my personal med template to the situation. Thought I saw a lot of softball advise which turned out not to be the case. I am fairly new to this board. My normal responses are more personal sharing. I have had debilitating anxiety that Benzos have always relieved. I am also very aware that benzos are not helpful for all, in fact there are all sorts of adverse effects that are possible. After reading Tepiacas posts I suspected our friend may be suffering from somthing other than GAD My next door neighbor is a Psychiatrist and she was going to support my opinions. With the info you have given me this is of course not appropriate. I have read your posts over the past few months and they are not only insightful but provide the moral support many need. I am serious about helping him with medical assistance. What city does he live in? Warmest regards.
