Hey, I've noticed the same phenomenon over the years. If I've been on an antidepressant and then drop the dose, all of a sudden I feel good and normal, refreshed. That goodness goes away in a couple days. If I restart the med, sometimes it feels good when I restart it, but it always feels good again when I drop it again.
I wonder if there aren't some of us out there where our depression is not a matter of how much neurotransmitters are there, but rather the movement of them. There has to be a good flow of them maybe. The antidepressants kind of shore them up and stop the flow. Drop the dose and then there is flow.
Don't know. But I do know the feeling you described. Whether to try it with regular or CR Paxil, don't know. But you know what, even the best of the best out there can't really tell us what's wrong or how the meds work, so what the heck.
