I think the combo of an AD and a benzo can be very effective AND (really important) quite effective over time. The specifics of which AD and which benzo is the difficult part, but I think it can be done and has been done well by a number of people.
I have also used Klonopin for years without tolerance or decreased effectiveness.
I’ve done both classes of meds singularly and in combo. For depression with anxiety or anxiety with depression - depending on how one “sees” their problem - I think it’s a good choice and works out to be a good treatment.
