I am so sorry you lost a friend, and was confronted with the fear of losing your sister. There is no medication for that! I think it is totally normal! I agree that learning to recognize triggers is important. I tend to shut down when it all gets to be too much. I shut out all emotions and really don't care about anyone or anything.
Would you believe I am working on a logistics project at a nut-house?? (a.k.a a psychiatric hospital) kind of confrontational. One of the Dr's there says "impression without expression leads to depression" which is prehaps true. Take care of yourself.
