Doctor just switched me to 75 mg Effexor XR yesterday. After taking 10 mg Lexapro for 3 months and gaining 12 VERY UNWANTED pounds!!! I felt absoultely wonderful on the Lexapro and am a bit hesitant about switching to the Effexor, but the doctor wanted to see if it would keep me happy without the extra pounds!!! I've read that one of the "side effects" of Effexor could be weight loss and/or loss of appetite.....I sure hope so....
Has anyone experienced weight loss from any anti-depressant. I want to be happy.....NOT fat & happy!!!!!!!
