Maybe your body is responding to the lower levels of medication? Even if you're titrating slowly, I should think that you'd still feel the effects of less medication.
My panic attacks have my body and mind both racing at the same time (heart thumping, thoughts rabbitting around). I have taken Ativan before and it did slow my body way down.
