typically arent trycyclics supposed to be the mainstay for this type of depression? and then there would be effexor and remeron (and especially the combo of the two), and even zoloft apparently...

it seems to logical to think either remeron or an antipsychotic could help. since their mechanism of action is shared by the tricyclics to some degree... and their 5-ht2a antagonism eases cortisol levels apparently, and elevated cortisol is supposed to be associated with this type of depression, right?

i don't know why they say remeron can't be used with MAOIs, but if you wanted to be safe you could try zyprexa "zydis" (if insurance covered it) it might bypass some sedation and risk of weight gain side effects that seem so common...
