Yes! as yxibow stated, behavior therapy is capable of making changes on par with ssri's, an example is in the book "brain lock" by dr. jeffrey
shwartz!! he shows an actual pet scan on the cover of the book of a recovered ocd patient after extensive behavorial therapy, [which is all he used in this particular study.they say it is possible in depression also, [i'm somewhat skeptical, having minor depression since childhood,] but i would like to try more behavioral therapy. these ssri's are a bummer, lol. but perhaps more research will yeild more positive results. i am also a member of ocd-support@yahoo groups, and dr. claiborn there feels cbt can effect more change than meds in a lot of cases...john
