I once tried amitriptyline 50mg for insomnia. It made me feel really ill and I felt like a zombie for the next 24 hours. I had no saliva. I couldn't pee. I felt like I was gonna faint. My vision was all messed up.... and I was so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open.
Anyway, I took 10mg amitriptyline last night because I haven't been sleeping very well. I didn't have any side effects, I just felt drowsy and went to bed. I slept quite well and felt quite good today, not 'hung over' at all.
10mg vs 50mg made a big difference! I didn't have a dry mouth at all on 10mg, my mouth was nice and moist LOL.
