Oh yes - sorry know what you mean...Not quite with it at the moment.
Very hard to wake up from and very suffocating... and seems to go on forever?
Not nice and very hard to control seeing as you're aware yet not quite all there.
Is this more what you mean??
Quite alot of time when I get these I'm also either too hot or have way low blood sugar. Thankfully not often..
Have you tried setting a really loud alarm clock - scares the sh*t out of you, but it may give you a sense of security???
Anyway it's not nice and I hope you get rid of them soon.
Sorry I can't be of anyway more help - but my thoughts are with you.

PS If you should ever have a problem with nightmares or lucid dreaming...?!:-)

PPS Okay so I'm supposed to be doing my thesis... but I got interested... You probably know all this stuff already - but I thought I'd include it anyway:

http://www.wintersteel.com/Sleep_Paralysis.html

This site lists causes and stuff

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

So does this one - it's an encyclopaedia

Excuse the less than helpful comments, bit dead at the moment.
