When I took Paxil years ago l0mg made me sick as a dog for about 3 months, diarrhea, no energy, etc. Since my anxiety level was so high my pdoc said a higher dose would escalate it. This even with xanax and beer at night. After 3 months I was able to go back to work and felt great! I couldn't understand how anything under 20mg which was the recommended theraputic dose could work. I tapered off of it about l 1/2yrs later and since that time nothing has worked. I think you should definitely take the 5mg if it is working for you. Maybe if I had been given a lower dose back then I wouldn't have had so many side effects. Fondly, Phillipa
