Xanax worked very well for me for years. When I went off it it was with little trouble. I was just switched to another benzo. Valium is my drug of choice for my anxiety disorder and I'm lucky enough to have an older pdoc from the old school who agrees. The AD's don't relieve anxiety for me. Fondly, Phillipa
