My pdoc has a lot of experience w/MAOIs and he says there is really no problem w/combining a stimulant w/Parnate. The warning not to combine the two is really, in my and my pdoc's experience, another overblown MAOI warning. Still, you should always proceed w/caution and add Ritalin slowly.

At first it seemed to work better than just about anything. The Klonopin took care of my social anxiety while the ritalin took care of the fatigue from klonopin and gave me some pep. Eventually, though (after a few weeks) I crashed hard and got really depressed. I think that ultimately combining klonopin (which is kind of a downer) with Ritalin or Dexedrine (uppers) pulled me in 2 different directions and is more than my body and mind could handle. I don't usually do well with uppers (Ritalin, dexedrine, etc.), so you may do better than I did.

My resting heart rate/pulse is around 80, which I think is kind of high? but I'm pretty sure it's always been that way. I speculate it's some adrenal problem I'd like to work out one day (and reduce the clonazepam)....
I think my biggest problems come from constantly trying to take as little meds as possible (all my friends tell me "you don't need that stuff man" etc etc) and just torturing my brain by frequently changing the levels of stimulants and benzos from high to zero levels. All my problems might be solved if I kept everything constant.
