Manic -depression and Rage

Posted by AudreyE on December 2, 2004, at 16:34:18

Hello,

I've posted about my own treatment resistant depression and experiences with Parnate. Now, I'd like to ask a question on behalf of a friend. She read a book about manic-depression and rage, and recognized herself in what she was reading. Does anyone know where we can get more information specifically about manic depression that is characterized by rages? She will be seeing a doctor for the first time later this month, and she wants to be educated about what she's discussing. The first thing I noted is that she doesn't seem to have manic breaks with reality, so this must be some sort of atypical aspect of manic depression, and I'm not sure where to begin looking for information.

Thanks!
