The MAOIs are very good on both social phobia and panic attacks and relatively good on anxiety, with Nardil probably being a superior anxiolytic. Parnate has shown some efficacy for ADD due to its stimulant effects. I did not think desipramine was particularly good for anxiety myself, as my anxiety levels are relatively low, and it increased them. I think nortriptyline is superior for anxiety, but it is probably not as good for ADD as desipramine. I think both would probably show efficacy for panic attacks, as this seems to be an area where tricyclics consistently do well.
