SSRIs are indicated for your symptoms, and they all do kind of go together. OCD is considered to be primarily an anxiety related disorder. As for Luvox, I have a comparison chart, which seems to be fairly accurate and based on a broad spectrum of knowledge/input, that lists Luvox as the most nauseating, constipating, and sedating SSRI. Perhaps this is why it doesn't seem to be prescribed much anymore; although, your doctor may have a legitimate reason for thinking it may be particularly well suited to your situation based on some past experience.
