> I remember seeing only one post about the combination. Although I know amphetemine is a big no-no on the MAOI interaction list but I'd like to know who has had success, without BP problems with this combination. The Parnate @ 40mg/day seems to be helping the depression but I miss the help I got from Dex for general lethargy when I was taking other ADs. I was taking 20mg daily, morning only.

I haven't tried this combination myself, but it is not necessarily completely prohibited. In this article

http://www.currentpsychiatry.com/2002_06/06_02_maoi.asp

in the section near the end titled "Avoiding other MAOI-related side effects", they talk about adding d-amphetamine at a starting dosage of 2.5-5 mg/day to raise blood pressure for people suffering hypotension, and the same amount for people suffering from afternoon drowsiness. I believe the implication is that it will definitely raise your blood pressure, but I do not know how much. Perhaps some of the other stimulants they mention might be better choices as far as avoiding this effect.
