Hope you don't mind me interjecting my opinion also, but I've been on Nardil and think it would do very well as far as the therapeutic effects you are looking for, but there is a good chance it will also give you insomnia, as well as sleepiness in the afternoon. I found that sleep aids reduced the insomnia and the afternoon sleepiness. I would also get insomnia myself on Zoloft on as little as 25 mg/day. If I had to do it over again, I definitely would have used some kind of sleep aid to help me out, but I had a somewhat of an irrational hangup about using them back then. Hence, I always tended to limit the dose of whatever I was on to what I could tolerate from an insomnia standpoint, which limited the therapeutic effects of the drug, plus I would still suffer from insomnia a fair amount of the time, anyway. Some of the sedating antidepressants such as trazodone make good matches for countering the side effects of the SSRIs, as they blockade the serotonin 2A receptor that is stimulated by SSRIs and causes insomnia in some people. Trazodone can also be used with MAOIs, or just as a general sleeping aid.Todd
