Increased heart rate does not give me more energy. I have the same reaction to Provigil that you describe. In my case the lack of energy is do to endocrine imbalance. I'm hopefull that that the meds that are being developed to adjust the HPA will be helpfull. I am thinking of trying HGH although it is quite expensive maybe it will have a positive effect. The understanding of mood disorders is not good, we can only hope something will be discovered soon. Best wishes.
