My diagnosis is Bipolar II and treatment resistant depression with anxiety. I thought the lamictal would cover the mood stabilization but I don't find the 5mg. of Xprexa mildly sedating so I don't really understand why she has me on this medication. I take .25mg. of Clonazepam a day for anxiety (some days .5mg.for real bad days.) Doc asked me what I thought would help me with anxiety as the school year is about to start; I'm a teacher. I said Darvon jokingly and then Xanax but she doesn't like to prescribe Xanax, so I said Xyprexa because that has helped me before with depression/anxiety but I had to stop it because I gained weight. Is Xyprexa used at this low a dose for depression/anxiety that the Clon. may not cover?
P.S. I'm also on 112.mg daily of Effexor; I'm weaning off it because it has not helped me whatsoever.
