Hi There, I have been through that, it feels crappy to wake up in the morning that way... except I was in an agitated depression so I'd be depressed AND panic stricken in the morning... very very very common in depression... I would say to get up in the morning and go for a good walk to clear your mind, and also try to focus on the moment, as that can help...also meditate. Talk to your Pdoc about a med called Wellbutrin, BP folks generally tolerate it well (doesn't hit your serotonin receptors) and it can help with that nasty depression.

> I'm not sure if this is a question for this board but will go ahead. I am on Lamictal 150mg twice a day for BPII. Does anyone experience more depression in the morning/afternoon than in the evening? I am quite depressed in the morning, then in the late afternoon my spirits lift (not hypomanic) and life seems so much better. Just curious.
