Hi Panda.I've never had a doctor ask me to have an ECG done before starting a tricyclic (1982-present). I've never had a discussion about it either, so I really don't know the extent to which it is considered necessary or desirable. I guess if there are any predisposing factors for developing cardiac conduction problems, it makes sense to get a before and after.
What's your target dosage?
