It's GHB (Gammahydroxy Butyrate). It has many uses but only one company had to luck (connections?) to have the FDA "approve" it for narcolepsy. But like I mentioned before, as with many drugs it has more than one use. Mostly because of the media's hyperbolic reporting and US drug prohibition laws has led to a lot of misinformation to the public. It's a contraversal drug to say the least. And it's not really even a safety issue, either. I would argue that when used responsibly (not mixing with other drugs) it may be safer than most modern "antidepresants" or other drugs that are prescribed by docs that do little more than give many unwanted side-effects.
