I haven't been on it very long but did a TON of research before hand and you DEFINITELY need to ween yourself off. You should start lowering your dosage probably on a weekly basis until you are down to 5mg for the final week and then stop. But you could probably call your doc's office and talk to a nurse to get clarification on that. I do know that I have read it is NOT good to stop all together. Also, I have also read the higher dosage you take, the more weight gain may be an issure, so you should talk to your doc about just staying at 10mg or trying lexapro with another drug. good luck to you!
