Hi Faith,

They *do* go away. It takes a while though, so you'll have to be patient. It took me at least a month before I was close to "normal." What you are experiencing is quite common, as you've seen from this board, but you'd never know that from the drug company or the medical community.

I have my strong concerns/reservations about prescribing antidepressants for situations, but I know others feel quite differently. Take care of yourself and let those around you know what is going on. It does sound as if your doc at least knew to taper and not to say, "Oh, you're fine now, just quit." Thanks for posting, and spread the word about Effexor!
