Thanks for the link, Scott. It doesn't surprise me. I think my thyroid/insulin resistance treatment has helped. But I'm skeptical about the idea that (for me) I could give up the ADs and let the HPA axis meds deal with the depression on their own.

BTW, I was curious about the other med, beside metformin, that was mentioned in the abstract. This is from RxList.com:

"Brand Name: Syprine
Generic Name: trientine HCl
Drug Class: TREATMENT OF WILSON'S DISEASE"

"Trientine hydrochloride is a chelating compound for removal of excess copper from the body"
