I know Bristol-Myers-Squibb has cited low-sales for the pull-out of the brand in some countries (including Australia), but I wonder if this decision might have factored in the chances of eventual forced discontinuation.

Panda, I have a follow-up to my reply already. I did a quick search, and see that maybe you *were* talking about the brand. The article below says that the plug won't be pulled until May, and implies that nefazodone will be completely unavailable to Aussies after that. It talks about whether the pullout will create problems for some people. Funny, in the U.S. generic drug manufacturers rushed to start making nefazodone as soon as BMS's patent expired. I wonder why the same doesn't happen in Australia if the pullout is not government-mandated?
