> I head to my p'doc tommorow afternoon and unfortunetly I think I need to get on some sort of AD again. I have taken quite a few over the years, most recently coming off of 6 months of Remeron. I was still anxious on the Remeron, plus the weight-gain, sluggishness, etc. Since coming off of Remeron ( 3 weeks) my depression has got worse. I deal with the anxiety by taking klonopin as needed, but since I have GAD I tend to need to take it quite often.

Ironically, I had decent luck on prozac, but for some reason I switched, I don't recall right now, but I think it was the dizziness/light-headness it gave me, which increased my anxiety.

Eating seems to calm down the nervousness. He really doesn't have an anxeity problem though, so if there is a side-effect he just chalks it up to the med and gets on with it. Lucky guy I guess.

I would try Prozac again & add a little Remeron to counter it's side effects. Prozac could counter Remerons weight gain side effect.

I take Effexor+Remeron & find this combination somewhat anxiolytic. It's not as anxiolytic as Valium, but my anxieties are secondary to my depression.

Cheers,
