hi fragile, I don't have any easy answers for you but I know this... FXr can and deos create more anxiety in some rather than benefit them... Kathryn was correct in recomending a very low to moderate dose of a benzo - 20 is young to have sleeping problems but hey I had sleeping problems from about 20 and on (used to use alcohol as well to sleep and shut my mind up-:) so it is not fair to just let your doc say that.. I am also with you that Ambien kind of gives you a happy , mellow I wan't to snuggle up and go to sleep feeling- I have taken It pretty chronic for about 2 yrs off and on -mostly on .I don't reccomend this but hey we have to sleep -- sorry for rambling - something just came to me that may be of benefit to you -- a very low dose of remeron or trazadone may be of some benefit to you and both are AD's and are not "addictive" like the benzo's or Ambien-- maybe that would be an option for you to pursue with a doc till your body adjusts to the efxr. Good Luck
