It took me a long time to find a pdoc as well. I ended up getting a referral from my regular doctor. Sometimes it takes "knowing someone" to get in the door.
My doctor wants me to take Lithium as well...scares the heck out of me. Most people seem to think it's the stereotype that keeps people afraid of taking it.
