Lainy, I just started Remeron and I feel much better. It's technically approved for Depression, but the literature indicates an anxiolytic effect, too, which it seems to have. The "gold standard" to battle anxiety/nervousness that accompanies depression is usually Paxil or Effexor, but both often bring on sexual side effects within days of treatment initiation. Remeron, on the other hand, rarely causes sexual side effects. There are also pure anti-anxiety meds like Buspar or Benzos that attack anxiety without much effect on depression. Good luck with whatever you try, and don't give up until you find the right cocktail for you!
